this is the first time i've seen mr hewes and he is a very easy man to talk to, a very polite and charming man. we discussed my operation in detail and he put to rest any fears i might have. i would definatety see mr hewes if it should happen to arise in future. i also felt he was in no rush to get rid of me and get the next patient in.

I first saw Mr Hewes May 2011. Had procedure in October 2011 and because procedure could not take place due to a condition that I have, I was referred back to see him but my notes were sent back and 3 months later I had to chase up my follow up appointment and have now eventually seen him at the end of February 2012. I had to phone several times to get this appointment because my notes could not be located. I now have to undergo another procedure and Mr Hewes thinks he knows what is wrong but if I did have a more serious complaint, then it would not look good for NBT as I have had to wait nearly a year to see him again.

I was very satisfied with my appointment with this very pleasant young doctor. He asked pertinent questions then we discussed viable options and surgery was the preferred mutual decision. He carefully explained all of the issues/possible pitfalls in laymans' terms which fully coincided with my interim research. Mr Hewes had a very busy scheduIe with many patients to see, but I only had a wait of approx 15- 20 mins and my appointment was conducted at a relaxed pace

I was seen by Mr Hewes on time and found him an exceptionally polite, charming, informative and helpful young man, even though he told me my gallbladder needed to be removed, information I was not remotely expecting. So, yes, indeed, Mr Hewes is most definitely an asset to the NHS and I am happy to have given him 100% on each question asked. The final question asking why I saw Mr Hewes was because I went for the results of my MRI scan not "General Surgery"!

There was a short delay to my appointment, but I come to expect that with any doctor. Mr Hewes was attentive, seemed in no rush to get me out the door, and put my concerns at ease.
